After days of contemplating the options of how to visually address the
parking situation at JMU, I decided to shoot in the gravel lot. On a quiet
Sunday afternoon, I gathered up the two most vibrant cars of The Breeze's
staff, Xris Thomas's green Honda and then managing editor's Ali Manser's red
VW Bug. We angled them in the lot to look like they were about to collide.
Travis Robertson and Mike Byrd played the parts of parking attendents
blocking an empty lot. The cover was heavily influenced by fashion
photographer David LaChapelle's work.
